Why is WDS cheaper than Rehau or Veka if quality is the same?
It's all about "brand markup" and production location. Rehau and Veka are German giants with huge marketing budgets built into every window price. WDS profiles are manufactured on the exact same Austrian and German equipment (extruders), but the plant is located in Ukraine. This reduces production costs and logistics without losing plastic quality. You pay for product and technology, not a famous name.
Where are WDS profiles manufactured?
WDS is the flagship brand of MIROPLAST, the largest PVC profile manufacturer in Eastern Europe (Ukraine). The plant is certified to all EU standards. We chose WDS for the Spanish market because they use the same additives and plastic formula as premium European brands, but offer more honest prices. The profile withstands our active sun and has international compliance certificates (IFT Rosenheim).
Which WDS model is best?
For most projects we recommend WDS 76 MD — premium specs (3 seal circuits, 6 chambers) at standard profile price. For budget projects WDS 6S works well.
What's the difference between MD and AD series?
MD (Mitteldichtung) has a third central seal circuit, improving sound and thermal insulation, plus protecting hardware from moisture. AD is a classic two-circuit system.
What warranty comes with WDS windows?
Factory warranty on WDS profile is 10 years. We additionally give 2 years on installation, 5 years on hardware and 2 years on glazing units.
Can I order colored WDS windows?
Yes, WDS offers a wide lamination palette: wood-look (oak, walnut, mahogany), RAL colors (anthracite, gray, brown) and double-sided lamination. Premium 15-25%.
