Can the COR 70 window profile be used as an entrance door?
Technically yes, but it is not recommended for the main entrance. The Millennium Plus 70 door system has thicker aluminum walls, reinforced corner connectors, and heavy-duty hinges designed for constant use. A window profile at the entrance will quickly become loose.
Can a solid panel be installed instead of glass?
Yes, this is a popular solution. We can install a decorative aluminum door panel with insulation inside. This increases security, privacy, and improves the thermal insulation of the door compared to glass.
What will the threshold be like? Will I trip over it?
The system offers a choice. You can install a standard frame threshold (most airtight), a low 20 mm aluminum threshold (convenient for passage), or an automatic drop-down guillotine threshold that is completely hidden in the sash and lowers when closing.
How reliable is the lock?
This door is fitted with 3 or 5 point locking systems. When the key is turned, steel bolts engage not only in the center but also at the top and bottom of the door. This provides a level of protection comparable to high-quality steel security doors.
Is it possible to make a very tall door?
Yes, Millennium Plus 70 allows for sashes up to 3 meters high. Tall doors visually "raise" the ceiling and give the entrance a grandeur typical of premium architecture.
Will the door freeze in winter?
Thanks to the 24 mm thermal break and double seal contour, the door retains heat excellently. However, for very cold regions or installation without a vestibule, we recommend using the Millennium Plus 80 model, which is even warmer.
