What does Passivhaus certification give to an ordinary buyer?

Even if you are not building a certified "Passive House", this status guarantees the highest quality of execution. You get a product that has passed the world's most rigorous heat loss tests. This means minimal electricity bills (air conditioning/heating) and complete absence of drafts or "cold from the window".

Why is a third sealing circuit needed?

Standard windows have two circuits. The third (middle) gasket in Cortizo A 84 divides the chamber between the frame and sash into two zones: "wet" and "dry". The hardware mechanisms are in the dry zone, which extends their service life, and the joint thermal insulation improves significantly.

How bulky does the 84 mm profile look?

The system looks solid and reliable, but not bulky thanks to Cortizo's refined proportions. However, it should be noted that the profile height (light opening) is slightly larger than standard systems, which is compensated by the ability to manufacture larger sashes.

Will installing such expensive windows pay off?

At current energy prices in Europe, Passivhaus class windows are a high-ROI investment. The price difference compared to regular windows is recovered through reduced climate control costs. Additionally, such windows improve the property's energy efficiency rating, increasing its market value.

What sound insulation can be achieved with this system?

Can such heavy windows be installed in old buildings?

The sash weight with triple glazing can be significant. Before installation in older buildings, a specialist assessment of the opening condition is recommended. However, the A 84 system itself has the highest static rigidity and is designed for such loads, so the glass weight is not a problem for the window itself.
