Rehau High-Design Slide is an elegant and practical solution for when every centimeter of space counts. Unlike casement windows, the sashes of this system slide sideways, leaving the windowsill and area in front of the window completely free for your flowers, furniture, or decor.
The system is significantly warmer than aluminum alternatives ("sliders") thanks to the multi-chamber PVC profile and the ability to install glazing up to 24mm. However, for heated living spaces (bedrooms, children's rooms), we recommend using sealed systems from the Synego or Geneo series.

What is this system really for?
This is the best solution for glazing a balcony, loggia ("terraza"), or summer kitchen. It protects against dust, wind, and noise much better than old aluminum. But don't try to install it as a main window in a bedroom or living room — for living areas you need the airtightness of the Synego series or casement windows.
Will there be drafts through the brushes?
Let's be honest: a brush is not rubber. It excellently traps dust and dampens gusts of wind, but during a strong storm or direct hurricane wind, some air penetration is possible. The system is not an airtight "thermos", which is why we call it semi-warm.
Is this a warm window? Can it be installed in a bedroom?
High-Design Slide belongs to the "semi-warm" glazing class. Thanks to the PVC profile, it is much warmer than icy aluminum sliders. But due to brush sealing, it is not 100% airtight. For combining a loggia with a room or for a bedroom, choose only Rehau Synego Slide or casement windows.
How to save on large openings?
This system is often combined with fixed (non-opening) sections. For example, fixed glass panels are placed on the sides, and sliding doors in the center. This is cheaper, provides more light, and adds structural rigidity.
Is it safe to install on the ground floor (Bajo)?
Any roller-based sliding system (without a clamping mechanism) is inherently vulnerable to crowbar break-ins. For ground floors in Spain, we recommend installing High-Design Slide only together with protective grilles (rejas) or security shutters (persianas de seguridad). Otherwise, it's a risk.
Is maintenance difficult?
The main enemy of such windows is sand and dust in the lower tracks. If you don't vacuum them, the rollers will start crunching and wearing out. Otherwise, maintenance is simple: soapy water and lubricating mechanisms once a year.
