Rehau Panorama Swing is a unique hybrid system. It takes the best of both worlds: the flexibility of frameless glazing ("cortinas de cristal") and the thermal insulation of full PVC windows.
Unlike bi-fold systems, the panels here are not connected by hinges. Each panel moves independently along a track, rotates, and parks in the corner. This allows you to:
- Open the aperture 100% by sliding all panels aside;
- Leave gaps for ventilation anywhere along the wall;
- Easily clean the exterior side of the windows from inside (just rotate the panel towards you!).
Who is it for?
An ideal choice for those who want to merge the living room with the terrace but aren't willing to freeze in winter with cold aluminium. The system provides perimeter sealing, keeping heat inside the home.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions about Rehau Panorama Swing
How is this better than a standard bi-fold?
In a bi-fold, all panels are linked by hinges. It's heavy, and you have to move the entire chain at once. In Panorama Swing, each panel moves independently. You can open one section on the left, one on the right, or the center. Plus, no external hinges — fewer parts to rust.
Is this warmer than "Cortinas de Cristal"?
Absolutely. Frameless glass curtains are just tempered glass with gaps — the terrace will be cold. Panorama Swing features double-glazed units in a PVC frame with rubber seals. It's a fully warm room you can use in winter.
How reliable is the mechanism?
Let's be honest: the more complex the mechanism, the more carefully it needs to be handled. This system isn't for a busy café where customers yank handles. It's a system for a private home. With proper care (lubrication, clean tracks), it serves for decades.
How do I clean these windows on an upper floor?
This is the killer feature of the system. You don't need to climb outside or hire climbers. Each panel rotates 90 degrees inward. You clean the exterior side while standing on the floor in slippers. The safest system for upper floors.
What will the threshold be like?
For the system to be airtight and not let water in during heavy rain, a bottom profile (frame) is necessary. We can sink it into the floor, but a small lip will remain. An absolutely flat floor is only possible at the expense of airtightness.
Is it hard to break into?
Concealed hardware makes break-in difficult (nothing to pry from outside). However, like any terrace system on the ground floor in Spain, we recommend protecting it with roller shutters (persianas) or alarm sensors.
