What does Class "A" profile (3 mm wall) provide?
The 3 mm wall provides 15-20% stronger corner weld seams compared to economy Class "B". This guarantees that the windows won't deform, hinges won't tear out of the plastic, and the sash geometry will remain perfect for decades.
Why is closed reinforcement better than U-shaped?
The Veka frame uses a square steel tube (closed contour). It has 4 stiffening ribs, while U-shaped has only 2. This is critically important for resisting wind loads and the weight of heavy sashes, preventing frame "twisting" during installation.
What is the warmest glass unit for this system?
We recommend a double-chamber glass unit 40-42 mm thick with two low-E glasses and a warm spacer bar. This will maximize the thermal performance of the Softline 70 profile.
Can the seal be replaced after 10 years?
Yes. Unlike systems with co-extruded (fused) seals, the Veka Softline seal rolls into a groove. If needed, it can be easily removed and replaced with a new one without replacing the entire window.
Is the profile suitable for colored windows?
Perfectly. Thanks to the thick outer wall and powerful reinforcement, the profile withstands thermal expansion of dark lamination in the sun without warping, which often happens with thinner profiles.
How does Softline 70 differ from Euroline?
Euroline is a 3-chamber system with 58 mm width, more suitable for balconies or summer houses. Softline 70 is a full-fledged 5-chamber system with 70 mm width, designed for thermal glazing of apartments and cottages.
