What is the difference between Vekamotion and Vekamove?
These are fundamentally different systems. Vekamove is a sealed slider (like a window), while Vekamotion is a lift-and-slide portal (HS) for much larger sash sizes, with a lower threshold and different opening kinematics.
Won't it be cold with such huge glass?
No, if an energy-saving glass unit is used. The system allows units up to 54 mm thick. The Uw of the finished structure can reach 0.78 W/m²K, which is warmer than many solid walls.
What is the maximum door size that can be made?
The total structure width can reach 6.5 meters, and the width of one sliding sash can be up to 3 meters. Height is usually limited to 2.7 meters (depending on glass weight and wind load).
Can opening be automated?
Yes, Vekamotion 82 is ideal for automation. Drives (motors) can be concealed inside the frame profile, allowing door control from a remote, button, or smartphone.
What is the Vekamotion MAX version?
This is a designer version where the visible profile height of the fixed part is minimized. You see 7 cm more glass in height and 3.5 cm in width, giving the structure a lighter and more modern look.
Is the mechanism reliable with frequent use?
The HS mechanism is rated for tens of thousands of opening cycles. Veka uses closed-section reinforcement in the frame, preventing deformation of the rails on which the rollers travel, guaranteeing smooth operation for years.
