Veka Vekamove 76 is a breakthrough in the sliding structure segment, combining the best features of lift-and-slide doors (HS) and tilt-and-slide systems (PSK). Unlike standard sliders, it uses an innovative locking mechanism: the sash moves perpendicular to the frame, pressing tightly against the seals around the entire perimeter. This provides absolute air-tightness, protection from driving rain and street noise, which is unattainable for conventional sliding systems with brush seals.
The system is based on the premium Softline 76 platform (Class "A"), ensuring high rigidity and the ability to create large-format sashes. Operation is intuitive and requires no physical effort: turning the handle gently releases the sash, and it glides smoothly along the tracks. This is the ideal solution for terrace or balcony access where preserving usable space and ensuring maximum light transmission without heat loss is important.

How does Vekamove differ from a regular patio door (PSK)?
The main difference is convenience. With PSK, you need to pull the heavy sash toward you, and the complex hardware often breaks. With Vekamove, the sash simply slides sideways. Additionally, Vekamove does not "consume" space inside the room when opening.
Is this warmer than a lift-and-slide door (HS)?
In terms of thermal insulation, Vekamove is comparable to HS portals, and sometimes surpasses them thanks to the tighter seal compression circuit (with a closed frame). At the same time, the cost of Vekamove is usually lower.
Can this system be installed in a bedroom?
Yes, absolutely. High air-tightness (Class 4 air permeability) and excellent sound insulation (up to 43 dB) make this system suitable for any living space, including bedrooms and children's rooms.
What kind of threshold does this door have?
The system uses a frame threshold. This means there will be a frame profile at the bottom (like a regular window), which is necessary for maximum heat. This is not a "barrier-free" flush threshold, but it guarantees no freezing.
Can Vekamove be laminated?
Yes, the profile is available in the full range of Veka colors, including the premium matte Spectral finish. All visible parts of the frame and sash are laminated, creating a cohesive look.
How reliable is the hardware?
The system uses specialized hardware (e.g., Roto Patio Inowa or Siegenia equivalent) designed specifically for this type of opening. It has fewer friction parts than PSK and is rated for tens of thousands of cycles.
