What's the difference between WDS 6S and WDS 7S?
Technically, both systems have 70 mm and 6 chambers. The main difference is design. WDS 6S has classic beveled edges (geometric style), while WDS 7S has smooth rounded lines (Soft Line). Also, 7S has slightly higher thermal insulation values (Uf 1.1 vs 1.2).
Is this window suitable for "Passive House"?
WDS 7S has very high characteristics, close to Passive House standards, especially when using energy-saving glass units with argon. It's an excellent choice for energy-efficient renovation.
Can this profile be laminated?
Yes, the rounded forms of WDS 7S look especially impressive in "wood" lamination (Golden Oak, Walnut) or trendy Anthracite color, imitating aluminum or wooden windows.
How secure is this window?
The 13 mm hardware groove allows installing reinforced strike plates and mushroom cams, providing burglary resistance class up to RC2/RC3, which is important for ground floors and villas.
Is the window compatible with Spanish roller shutters?
Absolutely. The frame construction allows easy integration of shutter guides (guias de persiana) and connecting the window to the shutter box (cajon de persiana) without thermal bridges.
Are WDS 7S windows easy to maintain?
Very easy. The smooth glossy profile surface doesn't absorb dirt and cleans easily with soap and water. Soft Line rounded forms have no sharp corners where dust accumulates. We recommend lubricating gaskets with silicone once a year, and hardware with machine oil.
